Chief Counsel Irs Honors Program

I attend UF Law. A fellow student and friend of mine participated in the Summer Legal Program at the Jax branch last summer. He enjoyed it.

The Internal Revenue Service is recruiting students for fulltime 2018 Honors Program attorneys. The Office of Chief Counsel, IRS is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The IRS Chief Counsel is a great placeto start. Honors Program positions at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel are opento those whohavesuperior academicqualifications.

UF Law has outstanding tax professors, several of whom I have taken classes with. I don't really know much about Miami's tax stature, but UF has one of the top five tax programs in the country. It's also substantially cheaper than Miami at sticker price. Gainesville sucks though, so that's a bit of a draw back.

If you want to work for the IRS post-grad in the Office of the Chief Counsel, you're probably better off pursuing an LLM in tax first. It's difficult to get that job without it but not impossible.
