Model 59 Smith And Wesson Serial Numbers

I am looking for information about the year my Model 59 was made. It has Patent Pending on the slide and the serial number begins A362XXX. I've only owned it a few days and it shoots like a dream. I got it fo $260 and it's in perfect condition. The person I got it from said he had only fired it 10 or 12 times when he bought it new but he is unable to remember exactly we he purchased it.
