I owned Absolute when it first arrived years ago. It was my way of easily upgrading the Steinberg instruments in my former version of Cubase (I don't remember which version, I ve been using Cubase ever since Giosons bought out Opcode's Studio Vision Pro and then discarded it as my Mac computer went to a'Power PC CPU). But I digress... I did not upgrade from Absolute to Absolute 2 bec use before it came out (bundled) I'd already individually upgraded each instrument.When Steinberg released Absolute 3, I had to have it. It already comes w/ Halion Symphony (an add-on for me) but now expanded. Retrologue can now have side processing inserts!
What a way to alter vocals. Halion 6 completely reinvents sampling, with the new 3D processing, but it's learning curve is relatively easy and straight forward. Groove Agent 4 has a ton of samples. Other instruments in Absolute 3 also come with plenty of samples. Then, if you're a sound editor, there's tons of presets for each instrument to get you started with editing your sounds. The Sweetwater review says the 'The Grand' includes 5 grand pianos BUT THAT IS INCORRECT.
