GROOVE ASSAULT's fearless leader and guitarist Jimmy Prav has put together his entire pool of influences. He has played everything from Be-bop to Thrash metal, and when it comes to playing, writing and arranging for his band he's not afraid to use any of it; one review called them 'Parliament meets Black Sabbath at Miles Davis' house'.
Jimmy has recruited some of his best musician friends, Brian Crook on tenor sax Deji Coker on alto sax, Andrew Paulsen and Colin Bridgestock on trumpets, Andrei Sebastian on bass and Gideon Grossman on drums. Together these seven New York City sultans of groove are stirring up a scene that has been long starving for a band like this. The bands first full length CD 'The Good the Bad and the Filthy' has eight tracks that indulges everything from straight funk to ska-punk to soul and heavy-metal.
