For anyone else having this problem, I was able to fix it by doing the following: Step 1: Browse to the following location: C: Program Files Microsoft Office Office 14 (Windows 32 bit) C: Program Files x86 Microsoft Office Office 14 (Windows 64 bit) Locate the file 'ppcore.dll' If 'ppcore.dll' is missing, then you need to download it and add it to the Office 14 folder or Powerpoint will not run. Step 2: Google ' ppcore.dll download' and use a trusted site to download the file.
